HIV Program at RHCC

Robeson Health Care Corporation is proud to host a comprehensive HIV program for residents of Robeson and surrounding counties. RHCC's HIV program currently consists of four (4) components: HIV Counseling, Testing and Referral; HIV Medical Case Management; HIV Early Intervention Services; and HIV Service Coordination.

The following HIV programs are available at RHCC:

HIV Medical Case Management

(Part B of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006)

•  Provides case management services to any HIV-diagnosed client in Robeson County .

•  Contracted with Dogwood HIV Consortium (Ryan White Part B).

•  Collaborates with area Infectious Disease clinics as well at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke.

Within Robeson County , HIV-infected individuals may receive Part B HIV Medical Case Management services from RHCC.  This service links individuals with HIV medical care, social services, emergency assistance, and access to HIV pharmaceuticals. For more information, please contact Tisha Locklear at (910) 827-1997.  

HIV Early Intervention Services

(Part C of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006)

•  Five-year grant program from HRSA

•  Primary and Infectious Disease Health Care, Behavioral Health (Mental Health and Substance Abuse), Case Management, Dental, HIV Care Coordination, Optometric and Nutrition care under the RHCC umbrella

•  Operated through Lumberton Health Center in Lumberton , NC  

Lumberton Health Center , one of the four medical clinics within RHCC, operates a multidisciplinary Part C HIV Early Intervention Services program.  This program administers an HIV “clinic” whose thrust is to enroll patients in HIV medical care as early as possible in the life stage of the HIV infection in an effort to thwart the long-term effects of the disease.  Through this clinic, patients are cared for by a medical provider with special HIV training that delivers care in accordance with the most current Public Health Service guidelines.  Patients participating in this program may also be linked with other health care services such as behavioral health, dental, access to medications, clinical trials, nutritional counseling, ophthalmology, dermatology, oncology, and neurology.  For more information, please contact Marlin Jones at Lumberton Health Center at (910) 739-1666 or Al Bishop at (910) 733-6421.

HIV Service Coordination

(Part D of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006)

•  Three-year grant program from HRSA

•  Part D of the Ryan White Care Act

•  Focus upon women and children (families)

•  Support for both HIV “infected and affected” individuals

Both HIV-infected and affected individuals benefit from RHCC's participation in a Part D Service Coordination program. Women, infants, children, and adolescents are the population of focus for this program.  This program is made available throughout all of Robeson County .  For more information, please contact Vicky Lambert at (910) 827-4379.

Satellite HIV Early Intervention Services

Part C HIV early intervention services are also available at one of RHCC's subcontract partner sites, Goshen Medical Center , located in Faison , North Carolina . This site provides the Part C Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006 Early Intervention Services to residents of Duplin and surrounding counties.
