Diabetes
Patients with Diabetes have a multitude of lifestyle changes that they need to understand in order to better take care of themselves. We want our patients to know what they need to do to maintain and prevent further complications from Diabetes like blindness and the loss of as limb.
At RHCC, there are measures that we want you to work on with our staff so you can effectively manage your Diabetes.
If you have questions regarding Diabetes, please see the following links
At Robeson Health Care, we have over 1300 patients whose results on the measures above are being documented and tracked in an electronic registry called PECS (Patient Electronic Care System). Below are graphs that show how we are doing in managing our patients with some of the measures.
Our patient's average HgbA1C currently is 7.4. The lower the HgbA1c, the better you are at taking care of your Diabetes.

Over 55% of our patients have set a Self-Management Goal for themselves.

Over 29% of our patients have had their feet checked by one of our providers. This is a monofilament test for feeling and circulation. If you have poor circulation in your feet, then you are at risk for ulcers and possibly the loss of that limb.
